DescriptionThe research activities of CHIMSLAB are focused on the development of fast and non-destructive analytical methods for the characterization of complex matrices, mainly in the context of agricultural and food science. In particular, the competence of the laboratory include: – implementation and application of chemometric algorithms for the characterization of food and of raw materials – chemical mapping and early defects detection by hyperspectral imaging – digital image processing for color quantification and for defects detection in food and raw materials – food characterization by NIR spectroscopy – product and process optimization by Design of Experiments
