Description | The mission is conducting basic and applied research to increase the knowledge of natural bioactive components for the design and formulation of new nutraceuticals. Other important research topic is the development and validation of analytical methods (HPLC/MS, ICP/MS, NMR and other spectroscopic techniques) for the characterization and the promotion of food of animal and vegetable origin. Another objective of our research group is to study the use of fingerprint techniques in the attempt to obtain chemometric models for the classification of samples in relation to their origin and the traceability process. |
