The Erasmus+ Study Program is dedicated to the mobility of students, faculty, and technical-administrative staff at the university level. The participation of the Department of Life Sciences (DSV) in this program enables the organization of exchanges between universities in EU member states through the establishment of inter-institutional agreements. This mobility also includes the Erasmus+ KA131 Action - International Mobility program, which allows for exchanges with partner universities in non-EU countries with which the DSV has signed exchange agreements.
Student Participation: The program is promoted to allow students to take official courses abroad, which will be recognized by their home university, and to prepare their experimental thesis for graduation.
Faculty and Staff Mobility: The mobility of faculty and technical-administrative staff is aimed at studying the educational organization of foreign institutions, preparing agreements for student exchanges, and, for faculty, teaching official courses or parts of courses and/or seminars abroad.
Mobility Scholarships: Based on bilateral agreements with each partner university, mobility scholarships are awarded to students in various degree programs who have been selected to receive financial support.
Erasmus Coordinators: The DSV Erasmus coordinators organize presentations on international mobility programs in conjunction with the publication of the relevant calls, providing students with the necessary information to participate in the selection process. Interested students are contacted via their UNIMORE institutional email. After the selection, the coordinators assist students in completing the necessary documents before departure (learning agreement) and in the process of recognizing ECTS credits upon their return.
For more information, please visit the university's webpage here, where mobility calls are published, and the "Guide to completing and submitting the online application" can be downloaded, detailing the steps to follow to submit your application. You can also contact the Student Mobility Office at studentmobility@unimore.it.
Following the publication of the ranking list by the Student Mobility Office, scholarship recipients from the Department of Life Sciences (DSV) must confirm their acceptance according to the instructions provided by the mobility office, or they will forfeit the scholarship. Failure to confirm acceptance will result in withdrawal from the program.
Personal Arrangements:
Erasmus scholarship recipients are responsible for organizing their stay abroad.
Required Documents Before Departure:
- Application Form
Students must visit the website of the selected host university to download the "Application form" and check the submission deadline for the host institution. This step will also provide necessary information regarding accommodation, available language courses, and other activities for Erasmus students. - Learning Agreement (LA)
Participation in the program requires the completion of a Learning Agreement (LA), which outlines the proposed study program and must be agreed upon with the Erasmus coordinator at the home institution. Once approved by the partner universities, this document ensures academic recognition of the activities completed abroad (sections “study programme at the receiving institution” and “recognition at the sending institution”). If attending courses, the Learning Agreement can be modified within one month of the start of classes at the foreign university using the “Changes to the Learning Agreement” form.
For Students Who Took Exams Abroad:
DSV students who took exams abroad must obtain a Transcript of Records (ToR) from the host university, listing the grades achieved and the ECTS credits. This document should then be submitted to the Erasmus coordinator at the home institution to initiate the credit recognition process.
For Students Who Completed a Thesis Abroad:
Students who completed their thesis work abroad must have the supervisor of the experimental activity at the foreign institution issue a certificate of attendance on the institution's letterhead. This certificate should describe the research topic and indicate the period during which the work was completed. The certificate must be sent in PDF format to the Erasmus coordinator at the home institution to initiate the process for recognizing the ECTS credits related to thesis preparation.
For Pharmacy and CTF Students:
Pharmacy and Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology (CTF) students must have the foreign supervisor complete the Thesis Assessment Report. This report should be sent in PDF format to the Erasmus coordinator to initiate the recognition process for the ECTS credits related to thesis preparation.
