Testo di presentazione

Since 2012, the Department of Life Sciences (DSV) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia has brought together research and educational activities related to Life Sciences (including Agricultural and Food Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences) under a single scientific and educational organizational structure.

By fostering synergies and continuous interactions, the Department integrates cultural and educational activities focused on the study of living organisms and their components at all levels of complexity and organization, as well as on interventions that, while respecting ethical values, aim to modify and optimize them in order to achieve fundamental societal goals: health, environment, and development.

Over time, the Department's expertise in research and education, along with the promotion of initiatives aimed at the local community, has strengthened collaborations with major economic and institutional stakeholders at local, regional, national, and international levels.
