The Research Committee (CR), established upon the proposal of the Department Director according to the Department Regulation art. 11, was approved by the Department Council on 31/03/2022.

It is responsible for promoting, enhancing, and coordinating the research activities of the Department, and carries out these activities by formulating proposals to the Executive Committee and/or the Department Council.

The Research Committee:

  • makes proposals and provides opinions on regulations and provisions related to research, including the management process of departmental research quality (AQ) in collaboration with the Quality Committee (CQ);
  • contributes to the drafting and review of the Department's biennial plan in collaboration with the CQ and the Executive Committee;
  • identifies and proposes ways to optimize and efficiently use financial resources (available to the DSV and/or allocated by the University) in relation to research objectives;
  • identifies forms of research incentives within the Department, particularly aimed at young researchers;
  • evaluates research projects within the scope of the Departmental FAR call;
  • provides support to the CQ regarding the monitoring and review of the scientific, technological, and project productivity of faculty and researchers;
  • assists the CQ with VQR campaigns as specified by the OOAA;
  • collaborates with the Third Mission Committee for synergistic actions;
  • prepares minutes of meetings (to be published in the DSV's reserved area with access via University credentials).

The Committee Coordinator, or a delegate, reports periodically to the Department Council regarding the Committee's activities. The Coordinator also serves as the DSV's Research Liaison, where a single point of contact is needed between the University/OOAA and the Department.
